More Music To Write Too

I have some really excellent news, but want to wait till the contract is signed to post up about it here... In the meantime, some good music for the wait:

The Wolf

While the movie isn't the best, it has it's moments. Among them, this song:

Rodrigo Y Gabriela

My last post was a video of the awesomeness that is: Rodrigo y Gabriela.  Go listen to it if you haven't already. It, and they, are amazing.

I have purchased the album,  11:11. Fast where it should be, deliberate where it should, and always powerful, the music is truly a pleasure free of guilt. Chac Mool, the shortest track, is a favorite I have found new things in every time I listen to it.

This, from an older album with a number of cover songs on it, shows some more of the skill this pair bring to their guitars:

More Music To Write To...

Stumbled upon this rather amazing song and singer...

I feel like I need a martini in hand, smoking jacket and all. Or perhaps an Austin Martin an a tux...

Character Soundtracks

The following are some of the tunes I listen to as I create the horrible situations I put the character's through. Some characters evoke some music, other music evokes some characters for me.

Below is a sample for each of the major characters:

Officer Baptiste:

Rankless Wardlaw:

Captain Schrader:

Scroobius Pip

Thanks to Tim Akers for bringing Scroobius Pip to my attention. This is exceptional:

My favorite line:

You see a mousetrap, I see free cheese and a fucking challenge!

More Music That's New To Me

Yesterday I was tooling the internets, looking for entertainment (I had already written a ton for Bridges of The Broken, so relax.) when I went to Eileen Andrews' site. She had there, for my listening pleasure, the Midieaval Baebes. I found their music a wonder and pleasure to listen too, and particularly appropriate as I was reading SM Stirling's The High King of Montival, which I received for Christmas.

Check Medieaval Baebes Out:

And, for fans of Simon & Garfunkle:

Amon Tobin

This song is not only pretty cool, it's also been useful as I write something a bit odd... And the video is amazing:
